Open House Christmas Party

(I have edited out personal information, but you have that info on the invitation that you received.)

This will be our first Open House Christmas Party in The Fairways. If you are new to our Open House Christmas Party, it is a come and go holiday party. You arrive at your convenience and stay as long or as short as you like. It is a fun way to meet your neighbors and people from the area, and for us to meet you. You do not need to RSVP for this party.

Even if you only have 10 minutes to spare, please come.

Did you receive an invitation, but don't know who we are and feel a little weird coming? Please don't let that keep you from showing up. You were invited because we want to meet you and this is the perfect time for that to happen. So, please come.

Bring your kids! Our son wants us to stress that. :)

Alcoholic beverages will be served. You are more than welcome to bring any alcoholic beverages that you enjoy, but it is not necessary.

We are in the cul-de-sac at the back of the neighborhood with the red, green and white exterior lights.

Merry Christmas!
Hope to see you on the 23rd!

Halloween 2012

This was our first Halloween in our new home, so we did not know what to expect regarding how many kiddos would come by to Trick or Treat. We are accustomed to seeing a hundred or so kids on Halloween, but did not expect that kind of turn-out since our neighborhood is still being built-out. We figured that, at the very least, all the kids from our neighborhood would come by. Sadly that wasn't the case.

I was really looking forward to meeting more neighbors and their kids, so I was a bit disappointed. I always feel a little awkward just knocking on people's doors to meet them and was hoping this was the holiday to easily introduce myself to them. (My husband doesn't have this issue as he has met most.)

Although, we only had a few Trick or Treaters, it was a lot of fun seeing the kiddos and meet their parents. The kids were all so cute in their costumes.

Hopefully, we will have a better turn out next year. At least, we are all set for treats with the gazillion Lego Bakugan sets we still have left. :)

Here are our Halloween decorations on our home for the first time. It is always a lot more work the first year you decorate in a new home. You can click on images to enlarge them...

Below are two short videos of the Halloween decorations.

We will "Boo" next year...

In our previous two neighborhoods, we Boo'ed our neighbors every year.

A Previous Boo

We were going to Boo! this year, but decided that we will wait 'til next year. We are all sick and just know that decorating is going to take much longer than we expect.

So, next year, be prepared to be Boo'ed! by our family!
